Considered one of Morocco's largest universities, Ibn Zohr University (UIZ) covers five regions: Souss Massa, Guelmim Oued Noun, Laayoune Sakia Lhamra, Dakhla Oued Eddahab, and Draa Tafilalt. A truly local university, UIZ comprises more than 20 higher education institutions, established with the support of our supervising ministry and local and regional stakeholders. This allows us to offer students, particularly those from our southern provinces, a wide range of programs that meet their aspirations and the skills required by these different regions. As a civic-minded university, UIZ champions openness, modernity, efficiency, and transparency as key drivers that will enable it to play a significant role in implementing educational reform, notably the 2015-2030 strategic vision and framework law 51-17. All these projects, whose philosophy stems from the will and guidelines of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God glorify him, who aspires to a Morocco where human capital is valued, where development is inclusive and where education meets the needs of society, are part of the spirit of the new development model.
